Chúng ta đang có cơ hội ảnh hưởng chính sách Hoa Kỳ về Việt Nam Vận động các dân biểu Hoa Kỳ lên tiếng với TT Obama Ngày 14 tháng 4, 2016 Tuần qua chúng tôi ra thông báo kêu gọi đồng hương gấp rút vận động các dân biểu và thượng nghị sĩ của mình để cùng viết thư yêu cầu Tổng Thống Obama nêu vấn đề nhân quyền một cách dứt khoát và mạnh mẽ trong chuyến viếng thăm Việt Nam vào tháng tới. Trưa nay Dân Biểu Christopher Smith (Cộng Hoà, NJ) đã khởi xướng văn thư để các vị đồng viện ký chung và gởi cho Tổng Thống Obama. Văn thư này bao hàm mọi yêu cầu mà chúng tôi đề nghị. Đây là một tiến triển đáng kể. Trong mấy ngày tới đây chúng ta cần vận động thật đông các vị dân biểu ký tên theo kế hoạch gồm 2 bước. Để không lãng phí thời gian, hôm nay chúng tôi tập trung huy động mạng lưới những người đã quen thuộc việc liên lạc các văn phòng dân cử, do đã tham gia nhiều cuộc vận động trong những năm qua. Họ đang cùng nhau gọi điện thoại và gởi email tới tấp vào Quốc Hội. Kế đến, chúng tôi kêu gọi quý vị đồng hương ở mọi nơi tiếp tay.
