5761. Letter No. 7. To Professor Janet Hoskins University of Southern California.

According to the Editorial Board, Professor Janet Hoskins responded that she realized many things that she did not know before, but did not give a specific schedule to clarify the mistakes in the article. The Professor emphasized that it was not her responsibility to determine which organization was right or wrong. Therefore, Letter No. 7 determined that the research project only needed to state the correct identity. Editorial Board.

Letter No. 7.
Duong Xuan Luong.

Dear Ms. Janet Hoskin, Professor, University of Southern California.

God established the Dai-Dao Tam-Ky Pho-Do to help humanity build a new society of Love and Justice, implemented with NHON-NGHIA (HUMANITY). In it, God teaches how to solve three fundamental problems.

First: Believe that God came to teach humanity to build a peaceful, democratic, and free society. From there, no one will manipulate their psychology and faith. That is the mission of Hanh Chanh Dao.

Second: Solving the problem of food, clothing, and money, helping humanity escape from the bondage of material things. That is the mission of Phuoc Thien.

Third: Help humanity have autonomy to build a new life. The new society should teach the establishment of the Righteousness of the Religion (Three Assemblies Establishing Power for Mankind).

God teaches disciples to observe the whole picture of people and society (material and spiritual); teaches how to solve problems; teaches how to create resources to solve problems (establish organizational structures and select personnel to practice); thereby carrying out God's will.

In Letter No. 7 I identified several things.

1/- Please write truthfully.

As I understand it, a good article or research work on religion must be based on truth and have the ability to adjust to align with the truth. Only with truth can there be perfection and ultimate beauty (Truth – Goodness – Beauty).

I respectfully request that the professor writes truthfully and respects the truth in three aspects. First: Please accurately state the identity of each religious organization bearing the name Cao Đài that the professor is researching. Among them, the Dai-Dao Tam-Ky Pho-Do and the 1997 sect have two different identities; please record the correct identity of these two organizations. Second: Please clearly state the identity of the religious organization of the individuals the professor has consulted or contacted to avoid misunderstandings. Third: I request that the professor review the article to correct any errors or clarify what the professor has not yet understood or has misunderstood about the Dai-Dao Tam-Ky Pho-Do.

I do not propose or request the professor to determine which religious organization is correct or which religious organization is not correct.

2/- I ask the Professor to reconsider.

I would like to summarize the main points of the six letters.

2.1 /- Letter No. 1: The issue of DNA testing of the remains placed in Duc Ho Phap stupa will be conducted when the Cao Dai religion in 1926 regains

sovereignty at the Toa Thanh Tay Ninh. I am a witness who raised the issue but under current conditions it cannot be resolved.

2.2/- In Letter No. 2, I have proven that some documents that the Professor referred to were incorrect with the truth about the two daughters of Duc Ho Phap who were arrested, and General Phuong … I request the Professor to re-examine.

2.3/- Letter No. 3: Đao Nghi Đinh 8 (Regarding the Eighth Decree).

Page 10, the Professor writes: …. this document has proven to be the greatest obstacle for decades to efforts to reunify the many branches of Caodaism.

The professor made an incorrect assessment, and I have proven it in Letter No. 3. The truth is that the Eighth Decree is a corollary of the Oath Declaration. The Eighth Decree prevented the dignitaries at the Toa Thanh Tay Ninh from separating to form sects. Only one sect split off, which was the Ban Chinh Dao in Ben Tre, because Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuong and Mr. Le Ba Trang had previously overthrown Mr. Thuong Trung Nhut. Today, the existence of many sects is due to sects giving rise to new sects.

The sects have signed the Unification Agreement and have carried out the unification.

(The professor's understanding of BRANCH as a sect is also wrong with God's teachings).

2.4/- Letter No. 4: On the Politics of Religion.

Page 9, the Professor writes: How can a religion founded with two separate branches, "Cuu Trung Dai" and "Hiep Thien Dai", be managed by only one person?

The professor used the "Pháp Chánh Truyền" to explain. However, that is a direction with no way out, as those collaborating with the professor have not yet distinguished between the Administrative Affairs of the Religion and the Political Affairs of the Religion.

In Letter No. 4, I have demonstrated that it was God Himself who instructed the Giáo Tông (Head of Religious Affairs) and the Hộ Pháp (Protector of the Dharma) to unite in creating the Political Affairs of the Religion.

Most importantly, God acknowledged this and therefore granted the Kinh Thiên Đạo (Heavenly Way Scriptures) and Thế Đạo (Worldly Way Scriptures), instructing the completion of the Tay Ninh Holy See's construction.

2.5/- NEW ideas about citizenship.

This is a very important observation. In Letter No. 5, I expressed my gratitude to the professor for this observation and pointed out that the origin of the NEW idea about citizenship comes from God's legislative approach, which includes Pháp Chánh Truyền and "Chánh Trị Đạo" (Political Affairs of the Religion).

2.6/- Letter No. 6.

The Dai-Dao Tam-Ky Pho-Do and the Phap Mon Chieu Minh Tam Thanh are independent of each other.

In Letter No. 6, I clearly demonstrated that the Dai-Dao Tam-Ky Pho-Do has a term of 700,000 years, while the Phap Mon Chieu Minh Tam Thanh has a term of 1,500 years. Therefore, these are two independent organizations, and merging these two organizations is delusional.

3/- More opportunities to get to the truth.

In the internet era, discussions via email and online conferences... are a good approach. However, meeting in person when the opportunity arises is also wonderful. Sister Victoria is visiting her mother in Southern California, so I suggested she contact the professor, hoping that the two could meet to exchange further ideas. I hope the two of you will have a cordial conversation.

Best regards.

Dương Xuân Lương.
